Consumers Want Deals and Offers in E-mails

When asked what e-mail content they wanted to see when getting e-mail, consumers chose exclusive offers as number 1, and as number 2 they chose to get more information or make a purchase. So this is a pretty strong indicator that consumers see e-mail mainly as a marketing, sales, and/or research channel.

While the majority did not choose more interactive options, I think 37% being interested in polls or surveys is important, as well as the almost 1/4 who said they were interested in providing product reviews. While not yet mainstream, I think it's definitely worth incorporating these elements into your e-mail marketing program in some way.
